The Calgary Central Library, aka the Calgary New Central Library, is the flagship of the Calgary Public Library system. RGO Calgary worked together with the Library team, Dialog and Snohetta Architects and contractor Stuart Olson to specify and install 240,000 sqft of raised access flooring for the new building. Raised access floors are the perfect application for a library space as they accommodate the weight of the shelves and storage but just as important they provide a pathway for power and data which are increasingly needed to support digital library assets.
