The plans were largely set early. With design and product decisions established through the RFP process, the real challenge shifted to people. The project asked employees to transition to a smaller individual workstation footprint while still feeling supported, productive, and connected in the office. To meet that challenge, the RGO team focused on change management through clear communication and education. Instead of letting the conversation center on desk size, they framed success around the overall work experience, better ergonomics, and greater choice. High-performance Steelcase workstations and ergonomic features helped reinforce the message, while the expanded mix of collaboration and meeting spaces made the trade off feel worthwhile.
Para 2 option 1
Momentum came from structure. The team set a clear procurement path with firm ordering milestones, which kept decisions moving and reduced last-minute pressure. A phased ordering schedule established practical order dates across ancillary items and workstations, supporting a smooth path from selection to delivery and installation.
Para 2 option 2
Momentum was built into the process from day one. The team set a clear furniture procurement timeline early, with defined “drop-dead” order dates, then kept it alive through weekly furniture selection meetings that maintained alignment and decision velocity. A phased ordering schedule clarified when ancillary items and workstations needed to be released, helping the project move cleanly from selection to delivery and installation with fewer last-minute surprises.
