Location: Edmonton, AB

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Manager of Design & Sales Support oversees the Design
and Support Team and provides ongoing training and development, sets the direction of priorities and controls
workflow where needed. A focus on the continuous improvement of the team is an essential component of the
overall RGO team


Lead, Manage, Accountability (LMA)

  • Responsible for motivating, engaging, and leading the development of the Design & Sales Support
  • Recruiting, hiring and onboarding of Design & Sales Support team members
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and quarterly pulse checks for direct reports
  • Approve appropriate usage of vacation, sick or banked time, and manage the time-off coverage strategy

Design and Sales Support

  • Coach staff on strategies for handling work effectively and efficiently, and managing their overall
    workload priorities
  • Work directly with Management to increase revenue/margins through development of existing and new
  • Oversee the RFP process
  • Check Sales Associates quoting and order accuracy, product understanding and proper specifications;
    coach and mentor team as required
  • Assure the accuracy and appropriate applications of drawings for Designers

Training and Coaching

  • Identify training requirements for new staff, new products, or updates to existing product lines
  • Create training programs and schedules that streamline the onboarding experience and enable design
    & sales support members to contribute faster
  • Conduct or coordinate Hedberg training as required
  • Participate in training as required, including conferences, webinars and other informative sessions about


  • Collaborate with the Director, Sales & Marketing on process and communication between the teams
  • Facilitate all departmental meetings and provide direction key initiatives
  • Assists with the development and execution of hosting events
  • Take the lead with engagement initiatives for the betterment of the sales and design teams, and that of
    RGO overall


  • Post-secondary education (Diploma or Degree) in Interior Design, Interior Design Technologies, or
    Architectural Technologies is preferred.
  • Operations, customer service and operating systems experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of word, excel, with information systems experience
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies including Hedberg Business System
  • Prior track record of achievement in positions with significant accountability
  • Ability to work, contribute and collaborate in a team environment
  • Strong communicator who can comfortably represent RGO at sales and design meetings
  • Outgoing, positive attitude, strong emphasis on listening, people management and hardworking
  • Excellent problem solver who anticipates issues and develops resolutions
  • Decisive leader who can gather information and determine appropriate solutions
  • Adept trainer who can impart his or her knowledge to more junior employees while coaching and
  • Previous management or leadership experience is preferred
  • Strong ethics, tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and good judgement when dealing with information
    pertaining to candidates, employees and the company
  • Initiative, ability to think critically and act logically in evaluating situations and generating required steps
    to ensure success
  • Positive, go-getter, hands-on attitude with a customer service approach
  • Ability to create positive relationships, establish rapport and work effectively with all levels
  • Agile and adaptive with a focus on delivery of results
  • Ability to work independently with a remote HR team setting
  • High proficiency with all Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working in SharePoint and MS Teams is an asset
  • Proof of full immunization against COVID-19 is required upon hire
